This group is a group of folks who want to have the ability to easily contact other goat-packing folks to arrange and participate in goat outings (that, of course, doesn’t mean “outing” a goat with funny inclinations :-) ). Joining is simple, it is not a moderated group, and once joined, you will get e-mails when someone has an idea for a weekend or other outing, or you can put forth a idea for an event of your own. The Idaho Outdoors group is the example. Anybody can go post a message to the group indicating that they would like to do an outing to such and such a place, and those that are interested will respond.

Call or e-mail with questions.

Cascade Packgoat Club

Western Oregon, Southern Washington

ecpg@peoplepc.com

The Cascade Packgoat Club is based in Portland, Oregon but we have members all over Oregon and up into Washington. The CPC is the longest active packgoat club and has pioneered a number of firsts including the first two packgoat rendezvous. We have events throughout the year such as campouts, the SOLV beach cleanup, clinics on all types of packgoat information such as harness goats, massage, clicker training and much more. Our only bylaw is that meetings will have goats in attendance. This includes our annual meeting which is usually a hike. Some members also participate in the Mt Hood National Forest's Wilderness Steward Program as volunteers. Other members take their goats to fairs and other public gatherings to talk about and promote packgoats. For more information email ecpg@peoplepc.com Dues are $10 a year and there is a charge for activities, but non-members are welcome to participate by just paying the activity fee.
